The Korean Sport of Tae Kwon Do stands head and shoulders above the rest of the traditional martial arts in popularity resulting primarily from its association and membership in the IOC and he recognition and prestige that accompany acceptance as an Olympic Sport.
More importantly, however are the character building attributes associated with the philosophical and spiritual teachings that Tae Kwon Do offers for our youths. In a world with diminishing morals, declining civil order and lack of discipline we have become a nation searching for alternatives to rebuild, instill and put strong moracharacter back into society that our great nation was founded upon.
Confidence, self-discipline and respect are the focus and building blocksof our Karate and Tae Kwon Do programs. Elbows, knees, fists, and feet are trained and developed for use as weapons offensively and defensively in this ancient form of Martial Art. Restraint, self-control and responsibility are demanded from our students.
Advancing through the belt levels is contingent as much upon attitude, character development and leadership skills as they are physical skills and abilities. Students are taught to refrain from using force except only as a last and final alternative.
